• Due to widespread power outages, the County offices will remain closed, today Tuesday, August 4, 2020.  We will return to normal operating hours tomorrow, August 5, 2020.

Due to the pending inclement weather Hertford County operations are as follows:

• County staff is recommending that a State of Emergency (SoE) be declared in Hertford County beginning at 6:00 pm, today, Monday, August 3^rd and expiring on Tuesday, August 4^th at 6:00 pm.Partial activation of the Emergency Operations Center (EOC) to closely monitor the storm and respond to resource requests.
  • There is not a curfew component to the SoE
  • The sale of alcohol is not a component of the SoE
• No shelter openings at this time.
• Delay opening County offices (staff only) to 10:30 am tomorrow, Tuesday, August 4^th.  The hours of operation may be further revised tomorrow depending on weather conditions at that time.
