MISSION: The mission of Hertford County Office of Emergency Management is to protect life, property and the environment through a partnership with local, state and federal agencies. This mission will be accomplished through a four principal approach to emergency situations: Preparedness, Response, Recovery and Mitigation. Linking all resources through planning, direction, coordination and clearly defined functions, Emergency Managers are more effective in our endeavor of serving the citizens.
